Next generation drilling

GeoSplit expert participated in the technological conference SPE “Next generation drilling” and reported about the study of horizontal wells in low-permeable reservoirs of the Bazhenovskaya formation with the application of marker technology Geosplit.

The use of marker technology allows continuous long-term monitoring and real time production logging with the definition of the water breakthrough zone in the wells. Continuous well monitoring without the necessity of well shut-in is one of the key technology values ​​minimizing direct losses in oil production.

Pilot works conducted in horizontal wells with MFrac in the Bazhenovskaya formation reservoirs confirmed the relevance of the selected technical solutions and proved their high efficiency.

Marker technology mass scale replication facilitates the emergence of unique statistical data allowing to make effective decisions on hard-to-recover reserves development at a qualitatively new level.
